Vespa LX 125 features

Vespa LX 125, the Italy based company Piaggio’s scooter will hit the Indian roads by the end of 2012. Vespa LX125 is developed by Piaggio and Co. SpA. Roberto Colaninno (Chairman), the board of directors of Piaggio and Co. SpA, told that they planed to start the production and sales of Vespa in India and the first model will be named as Vespa LX125.

The model will be launched with aggressive look, it will have windscreen, 32 liter top box kit, chrome front and rear rack, chrome bumper guard, leather seat and backrest pad. It is expected to be available in four colors, that will be Rosso Dragon, Nero Lucido, Blu Midnight, Celeste Glamour. Vespa LX 125 will have a displacement of 124cc, single-cylinder LEADER 4- stroke with electronic injection engine which produces maximum power of 7.63 Kw at 8250 rpm and maximum torque of 9.6 Nm at 7250 rpm, electric and kick start, disc brake at front and drum brake at rear.

Earlier in India Vespa has been doing well with the collaboration of LML motors. Now with the new strategy of Indian scooter market Honda Activa enjoys the leadership. But in India the bike market is growing day by day, most of the companies want to introduce their best. In sport model range Ducati Sports Classic is able to attract the youth. Hero Honda‘s popular bike Hero Honda Glamour is doing well in India but Bajaj Pulsar is most popular bike than other in the segment.
